The Letting Go

I want to scream it off
from the rooftops
Let them open their windows
and stop watering their flowers
let my voice become the birds
soaring in the sky and let
everybody turn their heads
Screaming
if only they could hear me
Today I’ll be letting go
becoming that pink
balloon floating away
in that big blue sky
