Spring Clean

I’ve hung the kids out on the line. They were crumpled and stained after fust-curled months and needed to air. The dark greys of winter are bleaching out nicely. Look at them flapping! Breezy legs dancing, arms freed and waving. I’ll collect them in later when they smell of the wind. I’ll bury my nose in scents forgotten, and fold them, and hold them and place them…(without comment) …back on their beds, in a heap.
