I synthesize Spaghetti Bolognaise with curry powder I cast salmon in honey I sneak yam into Shepherd’s pie I dilute fruit smoothies in melted ice cream I bond banana bread with kiwis I react Fanta fruit twist and grape juice I smuggle cinnamon across culinary borders I fry pancakes in blueberry jam I boil potatoes in straight butter I mix beef broth with Capri-Sun— I forge smiles with a stir-fry I stimulate nostrils with jollof rice I fashion laughter through fish & chips I do all this, yet I’ve still never opened a cookbook.
