There are days
When I want to lean on you
And tell you I'm tired.
And I can't sleep at night, the dreams keep me wired.
And things haven't been going on well in a while,
And I'm so glad you're here, and I've missed your smile—
But I can't.
I've taken one too many chances.
But I won't.
You say you love me, but you don't.
So: there are days
When I smile, and say:
I’m just fine.
